You have to admit that even if it’s corny or “mababaw,” (my addition: mababaw means shallow) the Filipino sense of humor is creative. This is especially evident in how we use our words and their pronunciation. Store names like Petal Attraction for florists and the Common Cents sari-sari store may at first be seen as silly, but deep down many wish they had thought of that first.
