The Philippines is a breeding place for singers. I bet 90% of the Filipinos have experienced (and enjoyed) belting out songs at the karaoke machines. Tabloids haave published funny articles where people have killed over karaoke scores. We have dubbed “My Way” as the deadliest song on the Karaoke machine (I think “Nobody” has replaced “My Way” already).

It’s so difficult to judge singing contests here in the Philippines because all the contestants are good. The Filipinos have the pipes! Note: Charice Pempengco. That little one has the voice that can match Whitney Houston’s.

Any Filipino can carry a tune. Some of them may not have the raw talent that will land them a title, but with some coaching, we all can dominate the singing world.
